Frémont, John Charles, Geographical Memoir Upon Upper California, Senate. 30th Congress, Misc. No.148, Wendell and Van Benthuysen, Washington, 1848. Contains the 1848 Frémont/Preuss map.

These items account for half the total pages of the reports, and are not included in the commercial editions.

The tables are also included in the Senate (only) 1848 edition of the Geographical Memoir--the only report from the third expedition 1845-46.

The Gold medal of the Royal Geographical Society, and the Prussian Orden Pour le Mérite für Wissenschaften und Künste personally presented to Frémont by Baron von Humboldt in 1850.
